Isn’t the view from Rockefeller Center to the Empire State Building impressive? A postcard motif that really only unfolds its true magic and inspiration when you experience it in person. In fact, I took this photo myself. It was in the autumn of 2019, and at the time I was travelling in New York as a tourist, I said to myself: “I’m coming back here, and then I’ll pitch in this city for one of my start-ups”. Exactly that became reality 4 months later and I was able to pitch one of my startups, 3D Media Service, at a BMWi delegation trip in downtown Manhattan in front of 150 company representatives and investors from the New York area. And this is exactly the reason why I first pay attention to the language of my coachees, especially the “self-speak” and the clarity and connection of personal values and goals.
Every great journey starts with the first small step and with a big and attractive picture towards the goal. Entrepreneur, start-up coach, management consultant, university lecturer and business angel are, on closer inspection, only milestones on my journey as a life shaper. Even in my very early career as a student and so-called late bloomer, I realised that I am only successful when what I do is meaningful to me in the context of my personal values. All the things I do today, I do out of my innermost motivation. My motivation comes from my clear understanding of my personal values in life, which guide me to always set the right goals and to persevere with them.
I use all my experience from two academic educations, a multitude of further education, more than 20 years of professional experience, more than 15 years of business consulting, especially start-up consulting, and from my own start-ups for your benefit.
